Community Planning is about public, private and Third Sector organisations coming together with community members to plan and provide for the wellbeing of the communities that they serve. The Community Plan was approved by the Perth and Kinross Community Planning Partnership on 6 October 2017 and articulates an ambitious vision for the future.
The Community Planning Partnership Board provides the strategic leadership and direction of Community Planning across Perth & Kinross and scrutinises overall delivery progress. As the TSI for Perth & Kinross, PKAVS is a member of the Board. Five ‘Outcome Delivery Groups’ lead and are responsible for actions which support the delivery of the Community Plan across Perth and Kinross. They plan, oversee and are accountable for delivery by Community Planning Partners of key actions which support the relevant Community Plan objectives.
The TSI advocates the interests of the Third Sector in Community Planning and facilitates direct, representative involvement of the Third Sector in the Outcome Delivery Groups through thematic Strategic Forums.
There are six Outcome Delivery Groups relating to Community Planning in Perth and Kinross. Four of these are directly connected to strategic Third Sector Forums/ Networks facilitated by the TSI -
