Katrina has a background in business and much of her work involves raising awareness of social enterprise and developing the growth of the sector both locally and nationally. She helps anyone with an idea for a social enterprise, or charities looking to become more enterprising and guides them through the start-up stage and beyond, giving support with business planning, funding, legal structures, training – just about anything needed to help the social enterprise get up and running. Katrina can also help existing social enterprises through growth and development stages.
Katrina established the Perth & Kinross Social Enterprise Network (PKSEN) in 2015 and membership grows year on year. She also organises the annual PKSEN Marketplace event which is an opportunity for local social enterprises to trade and make new contacts and connections. PKSEN members have a voice at the Community Planning Partnership through having a representative at the Economy & Lifelong Learning group, at which Katrina is the advocate for Perth & Kinross Third Sector Organisations
