Flexible Working for Parents Online Workshop (27 March)

Here is a learning opportunity from Flexibility Works and the TSI Scotland Network next week.

To register, please email: pegs.bailey@tsi.scot

We know many employers are currently struggling to recruit and retain staff. At the same time, many people- particularly parents and mothers- can only enter the labour market if they have some form of flexibility in their role. 66% of unemployed women in looking to enter work in Scotland said that being able to work flexibly was ‘essential’ for them to take up employment (Flexibility Works).

The solution seems obvious, but we know some employers remain unconvinced about flexible working, while others would like to change but don’t know where to start.

We work directly with employers across Scotland, helping them to work out what kinds of flexibility make the biggest difference to their workers in all sorts of jobs. We’ve identified some clear and practical examples of how flexible working  is possible, and the positive impact this can have for people and business performance.

If this sounds like it could help your clients (whether they realise it at this stage or not!) join our 90-minute online session on Wednesday 27th March at 3pm.

You will benefit from:

  • Insight into flexible working in Scotland focusing on parents
  • Case study stories and examples of different types of flexible working in a variety of roles.
  • The business case for flexible working to help you influence employers.
  • Information on forthcoming changes to flexible working legislation, which might help you to leverage flex with local employers.
  • A conversation with peers and experts on this topic, talking through together any questions you might have
