Coming Together to Tackle Poverty in Perth

The Community Support Event at the Civic Hall in Perth brought together more than 20 local and national organisations for a day of free, practical advice and support to help residents facing the rising cost of living.

Held on Tuesday 7 October 2025, the event formed part of Challenge Poverty Week, a nationwide initiative that encourages communities across Scotland to speak up about poverty and take action for change.

Attendees had the chance to connect directly with support providers such as Home Energy Scotland, Perth Citizens Advice, Alzheimer Scotland, Christians Against Poverty, Aberlour, and many others. Together, they offered expert guidance on everything from managing household bills to improving home energy efficiency and accessing local services. A full list of the organisations in attendance can be found below.
