This session of the TSI Knowledge Network brought together Home-Start Perth & Kinross and Wild Workforce CIC to share insights into their work supporting individuals, families, and communities across the region. The session provided an opportunity to learn more about the different ways organisations are making a positive impact locally.
Both organisations offered an overview of their services, highlighting their approaches to support, engagement, and community development. The session reflected the diversity of the third sector, showcasing how different types of support – from family services to nature-based programmes – can contribute to improved wellbeing and stronger communities.

Home-Start Perth & Kinross is a local charity that provides parent-to-parent support for families with children under the age of five who may be experiencing challenges. Through a network of trained volunteers, they offer regular home visits, providing practical help, emotional support, and a listening ear. Their flexible approach allows families to receive support that suits their individual needs, whether that’s help with childcare, attending appointments, or simply having someone to talk to
